Rules
1. No wild special powers WITHOUT asking: I used to let this slide, but after seeing what can happen I am forbidding any and all special powers. This is going to be based on the first series where cats didn't time-travel or beat an entire army on their own, it's completely pointless.
2. No ancient spirits WITHOUT asking: no possesion of cats or reincarnation either, if your cat dies, it stays dead. From time to time we may have a spirit or ghost but having a full on plot about spirits taking over the Clan is ridiculous, and this won't change unless everyone votes on having a plot involving such.
3. No God-modding: your cat cannot doge any attack or rip open an enemy with a single slash, let yourself be injurued or have some weakness.
4. No Power-playing: don't control someone else's character without their say so.
5. Don't wander into the camp: it's really annoying to have some loner know exactly where the Clan camp is, and not only that, walk right in without a challenge because no one has time to respond, you're already in the camp attacking cats. So if your cat wants to 'join' the Clan in RP, they'll have to search the Fallen Forest or wait at the border, but our Clan is supposed to be secret just like the original four Clans of the series were so they shouldn't know much about them. Other than a few rumors. Also having random people who aren't part of the camp wander in for 'help' or trying to find their own Clan is highly annoying at times when we're busy so please don't do that either, without asking.
6. No mature kits: a kit cannot plot revenge and want to kill his Clan, a kit cannot want to kill themselves, their mental stage to me is like a three year old, they just want to play and become warriors. They don't seek death and want to kill everyone, it just doesn't make sense. They cannot have mates, they should think their opposite gender is gross or it's a crush.
7. Some drama is okay: having forbidden mates or problems with kitting or even getting their arm chewed off by a badger is interesting and is fun, but having an all evil cat trying to attack or move their plot along while we're having an apprentice ceremony or another important plot is very annoying. Wait your turn, and make sure everyone else is okay with it before doing whatever you're planning to do.
8. No copying: I understand some names or territories can be similar in appearance and name, it's happened, but copying everything off this page and using it as your own is wrong, Whether it's here or on another site it's stealing and I'd like some credit for the layout or anything else you didn't make. Basing your Clan off my layout or Clan name is okay, but fully copying and barely changing anything is quite insulting. ASK and or GIVE CREDIT.
9. No kit-stealing: I dislike having to threaten to report people because they didn't read the rules.
10. No spam/Advertising/Outside links/Pictures: no advertising your Clans, kit adoptions, or anything like that, or just posting random nonsense. No outside links or pictures that don't belong to you. However if you're looking for a member that isn't active in your Clan, that's okay. :3
11. Don't take RP personally: or you're banned. Call it harsh, but you're ruining the fun for the rest of us. Just because my character hates yours doesn't mean I hate you and I'm not about to change their personality to make you feel better. You shouldn't Roleplay if you take things so seriously. Enjoy it! XD
12. No chatspeak: learn to write, it's not that difficult to type a full sentence. It's hard for us to understand you if you use numbers or shorten words to write faster. And it's not being uptight, it's called speaking the English Language.
13. Slow down: Don't keep posting over and over with short little responses when someone else doesn't respond right away. Not all of us type one sentence, we write paragraphs and we need time. Don't rush us.

Clan Customs
Medicine cats: since we have no belief in StarClan or the Dark Forest, we don't hold every custom that a normal Clan might have. We have multiple medicine cats, and they are free to have mates and make kits. After all, some cats are more sensetive to others and need to be healers rather than fighters, and just because one cat happened to take the job first they shouldn't have to be warriors. Medicine cats simply teach their apprentices how to heal, not to speak with spirits unless they are spirits of past warriors of this Clan that want to tell us something important.

Mates: The leader is free to take more than one mate, so that their strong genes may spread through the Clan and make strong warriors. Of course our leader won't force himself on a she-cat, he will bond with them and treat them with respect, it just means he can father more kits. Deputies and warriors aren't given the same privelege, they have one mate, and stay with that mate unless of course the other dies or their relationship doesn't work out. As we said before, medicine cats may have mates and kits. Any mates of the leader, are usually highly revered and respected, as well are the offspring.

Deputy to Leader: though we are a Clan of honor and tradition, we also respect the wishes of the deputy to challenge the leader for control over the Clan. The leader must accept the challenge or he will be cast out as a traitor to our Clan. The fight takes place at the BoneHollow, and to win, they must either beat the opponent until they can't fight back or surrender. If the leader loses, they must step down and become a normal warrior. If the deputy loses, he must step down from second in command and become a warrior as well. If it's a tie, they both keep their titles and continue on as if nothing has happened. If they both somehow die, then the Clan must take a vote on who should become deputy, and they cannot vote for themselves. They may only vote for experienced cats who have had an apprentice, the canadites for being deputy cannot vote and the decision must be made before the dawn of the next day.

Clan character: despite our name, and our seemingly 'strange' customs we are actually one of the more peaceful and gentle of the Clans. Everything you see of us is mainly for show, so that more dangerous and evil cats stay away in thinking we'd harm them. We would rather talk than fight, and we'd rather warn off enemies than attack the moment we see them. MuerteClan celebrate not only death but life as well, and you can see it quite clearly in the way we decorate our territory. So please, don't think badly of us, we do not steal kits, we do not kill our own kind but merely accept their fate if they are beyond help. Clan prey: we eat anything from voles and mice to squirrels and finches. We are not particularly picky on what we consume, and will catch anything that's available. We even collect nuts and fruits if we find them, and put them on a seperte pile from the mice and other meats on the fresh-kill pile. We do not eat other cats or kits, it's a rumor and nothing more.

Clan Territory
>>MuerteClan camp: within the darkness of our forest is a large, yet lively clearing of soft clay and sand. Each den is made up of a circle of tall grass so that they can still see the sky, but are shielded from the wind. Our nests are made from moss, rabbit fur, and sometimes feathers from birds if we happen to catch one. Our leader makes his announcements from the Bone Rock, a large smooth rock surrounded by the remains of fallen warriors, their skulls mainly. It seems dark but it shows that the fallen warriors have just as much power and deserve respect as if they were Clan leader. Grass and flowers grow between and in the skulls, so sometimes little vines wrap around through the eye sockets or sprout flowers through their jaws. The Fresh-kill pile is stationed in the center of camp, in a little scoop of earth. We usually cover the prey with leaves or sticks so that kits don't accidently stumble into it. There is a patch of sand by the nursery for kits to play in and even the medicine cats have their own eating area like the warriors do, but they may eat together if they choose.

>>Blackbird forest: a dark forest that encircles the entire territory, so you can't come to our camp without going through here. This is our first line of defense for no kittypet or loner would feel safe padding in the gloom of the woods. Every tree is gnarled, leaning toward them and covered with thick leaves that hide even the brightest sun, so the ground is always icy cold like death itself. Even though it seems unwelcoming, the woods is full of prey, it's just difficult to see in such darkness or scent prey when you're always looking over your back. The name comes from the ravens and crows that nest in the trees, watching your every move. MuerteClan cats are exceptional night hunters, we can see as clearly as the normal cat does in the day time. Sometimes it's hard to tell us from just another shadow, and that's where our strength lies; stealth and assasination.

>>Sol's valley: the moment you make it through the Blackbird forest you just might come to a small valley of bright green grass. This place gets its name from being open to the sun (el sol in Spanish) and it has plenty of field mice or voles to catch, however, since we're more accustomed to living in darkness we have a difficult time catching the prey in broad daylight. So we make it a point to hunt here at night. Some cats have claimed the spirit of a dappled tom that comes here just to sit on a hill and stare out, but he only comes during the day.

>>Castle of Luna: it's an old abandoned twoleg nest left to rot in the forest, but the strange thing is, is that's it made up of stones. Plenty of wild herbs (such as catmint) grow around and in the nest and is perfect to hide in the worst of weather. We named it Luna's (la luna means moon in Spanish) castle because the moon always seems closest to this nest if you climb the stairs and sit on the roof top. Sometimes our medicine cat goes there to see if ancient spirits will share anything with them. Sometimes snakes slip into the rocks so it can also be dangerous.

>>BoneHollow: a stretch of soft sand where mentors bring their apprentices for battle training. The clearing is lined with sharp bones jutting out into the forest to keep intruders from inturrupting. However, due to this safety precaution many cats have died, accidently being tossed toward the bones and being impailed. It's a very dangerous training spot, so only the more advanced of apprentices come here anymore. Newer apprentices are taken out in the forest. Sometimes we'll even bring prisoners here for a chance to fight for their freedom, if they so choose. The leader also takes challenges here against the deputy who wants to be leader.

>>Amor orchard: right by Sol's valley is a path lined with apple trees, it's a beautiful and romantic spot, that hundreds of fireflies come to be at night. Many mates, new and old come here to spend time together, whether it's talking or just being playful. However, during leaf-fall twolegs come here to take the apples so it'd be best to stay away from here during that time. Amor means 'love' in Spanish. Squirrels and birds come here so it's also a good place to hunt.

Then we all sit together, staring at the sky in silence, thinking of all the good times we had with our fallen friends. Then when the dawn comes, we go home and start going about the usual. This place is sacred and we look down on cats who come here for fun when it's not the full moon or there is no one to bury.

>>Twolegplace: beyond our forest is a large collection of twoleg nests, monsters, and thunderpaths. It's very dangerous and we tell our warriors never to come here, kittypets, loners, and rogues wander the streets in search for food. Lining the town are quaint twoleg nests where kittypets live and it's not uncommon to find them adventuring into our territory. Don't kill the kittypets, just give them a warning and send them on their way, unless they are stealing prey or are a threat.

>>Loner lands: a neutral stretch of territory with trees here and there and plenty of open fields, it's the ideal place for loners who need something to eat or a place to rest without having to steal from our territory. Rabbits run wild here, and sometimes twolegs ride on horses through here or walk their dogs so it can be dangerous if you don't keep scenting the air or look over your shoulder.

Be careful, and watch out for horses hooves or dogs that are loose. In the barn however are large, tasty mice that are easy to catch. Sometimes warriors are tempted into loner life for these reasons, so be careful.

Sawheart was sitting alone in his den. His eye's dark with thought and memories of his past. His claw's slid out and lashed out bitterly at his den wall, his fur bristling and teeth bared and glistened in the faint light.' Even though I killed her, I can't stop reliving that moment.'He thought before walking out and looking around the camp.

Elmslasher sat on a lrge rock. He clicked a metal claw bordley against the cold surface. He looked around and saw Bitterpaw. Elmslasher slowly scraped the bladded claws across the stone. 'tssssssssssssssk' The sound hissed through the air.

Phantomspeak sat by the camp entrance. Her ears perked as she heard a sharp screeching sound and covered her ears with her paws and backed out of camp. The palegray she cat lpt up into a tree and sat on it's thickest branch.
